I am addicted to TV workout machines/videos!
My dad had this addiction as well and passed it along to me. I grew up with Tony Little in my living room!
I own a total gym, which I LOVE by the way even though I don't use it as often as I should, Power 90, and Windsor Pilates, and as of yesterday a Bowflex Treadclimber 5300!
Just a note that through these purchases I have realized I am NOT a video workout person. They go by the wayside quickly.
Let me just say that the TC is a beast. Not only because it weighs 350lbs and we had to take it apart, move a dresser, and take a door off its hinges to get it out of the seller's house, BUT it kills in the workout area.
I got on that thing this morning at level 8, 2.0 MPH and made it a whopping 10 minutes before I was about to DIE! I can walk for an hour at 4.0 MPH on a treadmill or at the civic center with no problem. After 3 minutes on this thing I was breathing heavy, sweating, and counting the minutes til I could get off! I did burn 80 calories in that 10 minutes! I can only imagine what I will feel like tomorrow.
I want to make it to 30 minutes a day, but I will have to build up to that. Today my plan is 3 10 minute segments. Hopefully I can get that to 2-15s and then to 1-30. Maybe one day I will even surpass the 30 minute mark but for now that is my goal.
Craig is very skeptical that I will stick with this. I told him I have been walking for 6 months now! I am down about 20lbs with 10 or so more to go. I have to do it. To prove him wrong and for my own benefit. I know I will feel better if I go for it.
For my records I currently weight about 147. My goal is 135 or just when I feel good about where I am.
