1 Month

Peyton,

I can't believe you are a month old already! Time has really flown. It seems like just yesterday we were finding out we were pregnant and now you are here and a month old! Looking back at your birth photos I am already sad. You look so different! You are changing every day!

At one month you...

wear newborn clothes
weigh 8-3
are 22.25 inches long
eat 2.5oz every 3 hours
lost your belly button at 3 weeks and 1 day! (at nana and pawpaw's no less which made mommy sad)
sleep in your carseat at night
love praise music
look into my face when I am holding you
turn your head toward whoever is talking especially if it's mommy or daddy
love to kick and squirm on the couch
loves to stretch
hiccups and sneezes
roll onto your side to sleep (we have found you in your carseat on your side! you have been doing this since the day we brought you home! you prefer to sleep on your right side, but mommy turns you on your left so that you don't get a flat head)

Mommy and daddy love you more than you will ever know! This month has been the most challenging and rewarding of our lives. We never knew we could love someone as much as we love you. We love to stare at you and see all of your crazy expressions!

I love spending my days with you. Some are more tiring that others, but they are all so rewarding. No matter how cranky you are we always have some precious time of grins and squirms. Lots of cuddle time is always in order.

You have already had a lot of outings. On your first day home we went to pawpaw's to watch football! We haven't missed a Saturday since. You have been to Aunt Kady's, church, shopping, the Race for the Cure, and several other places.

Pawpaw and nana babysat you for a wedding when you were only 1 week old and then again when you were 3 weeks old while daddy and I went on a date!

I have taken to calling you several nicknames over the last month...toots-a-lot, snorts-a-lot, little squirt, peanut...Daddy calls you P-Lea.

I am looking forward to what the next month will hold.

Love,

Mommy
